Krugerrand Farms, LLC is a small artisanal, farmstead creamery that produces aged raw-milk goat cheese. Slightly sharp, creamy but with a complex of taste and texture that you can only find with a fine aged goat milk cheese. Naturally homogenized for enjoyment by the lactose sensitive cheese lover. Our goal is to offer a premium cheese that is unique both in its class and market.
Our vision is also to create a sustainable model for this value added processing of goat milk into aged cheese. It is a simple, low cost system that produces a quality, certifiable, and safe dairy product for the artisan cheese market. This is a profitable business that can be adopted by others to promote the local farming industry.

High quality milk is very important to us. Anybody can make bad cheese out of good milk, but nobody can make good cheese out of bad milk. So we always start with high quality, carefully prepared milk.
We make and age the cheese right on the farm. We use only our own
goats’ fresh (raw) milk, which is free of hormones, steroids, and
antibiotics, to make flavor-intense live cheeses.
All of our cheeses are artisan and most of our cheeses are
farmstead. Farmstead means that the animals that give the milk used to
make the cheese live on the same farm where the cheese is made.
Farmstead operations tend to be close to their animals’ day to day
existence and notice changes in health, conditions, and general herd
moods. Artisan cheese just refers to cheese made by hand using purchased milk.
